Aloe Blue Elf is an attractive, popular landscape aloe. This perennial cactus/succulent blooms in early winter to early spring.
Light: It requires full sun to partial shade light to grow, and if it’s growing in a desert landscape can handle some reflected light and full sun.
Water: They do not need regular watering. They can tolerate drought conditions for a limited period as long as you water them deeply once the soil dries out. During the winter period, you should cut down on the watering.

Fertilizer: Feed aloes in mid-winter with a high-phosphate, 10-40-10 ratio, fertilizer to promote abundant flowering in spring. Roughen the soil around the base of the aloe with a rake. Sprinkle a half-measure of the fertilizer onto the roughened soil.
Soil: Best grown in well-drained soils. If planting in a container, use a planting mix made for succulents and choose containers with drainage holes. When planting in the ground, use succulent and cactus soil with good drainage. The ground should have 50% to 70% mineral grit to allow adequate drainage.
